PSA : We are leaving THE BAKERY end of the year to take a break and travel. It’s been a ridiculously crazy good 2 years run at the bakery. Can’t believe all our dreams and prayers were answered and matched faster than we thought it could. Business is good and still growing. 


We co-own the shop with another party but we in the process of selling our shares to wind down. Maybe we would open another space maybe not. The future is still uncertain but we are certain to give you all our best offerings till the end which is on 30th of December. We still trying to ace every bake for you.

who we are:

our humble micro bakery started in october 2013 at home in woodlands, made up of a husband & wife team with selling breads at farmer's markets at loewen gardens and bread subscription.

we offer hand crafted artisanal sourdough breads. all our breads and buns are made with organic flour, water, sea salt and naturally leavened with our very own sourdough culture

our retail shop "THE BAKERY" is at serene centre where we bake sourdough loaves and pastries etc. 

what we do:

we bake fresh daily from wednesday to sunday at THE BAKERY and we serve sandwiches, toast and many more. our coffee is by cata coffee where they roast their beans fresh every week. we serve espresso based coffee, drip coffee and cold brew coffee.

things we don't do:

our bread subscription has been discontinued indefinitely and we don't do deliveries.

our breads come as a whole, we don't slice.

we don't do gluten free breads and no plans to.

flour used in our breads is organic and other ingredients are organic whenever its economical viable.

we don't answer calls. text/whatsapp & emails are welcome.

we don't accept reservations

our breads:

our breads have quite a lot of water in them most hover around 80% or more vs flour weight. this is because we use a lot of whole grain flours which is pretty thirsty. we believe grains should be cooked with sufficient water just like you cook your rice. we bake our breads at high temperature, this strong bake results in a dark-bold-burnish crust. also produces a dry, crispy-thin crust that protects the crumb from drying out easily. this bake also gives a lot of flavors from the maillard reaction.

our crumb has a glossy interior, when sliced it will be glistening wet and shiny, but not underbaked. and if you press it, it will be moist or wet to the touch, but it bounces back because the starch is hydrated and gelatinizedand and It’s fully cooked.
